Work With Me

Welcome! You belong here.

I am Carlina, licensed mental health counselor, life coach, and a stand for the recovery of survivors of gender and sex-related crimes. I have dedicated my life to working with survivors, providing tools, and facilitating the process of recovery.

" If you feel that recovering and dealing with the trauma is like a full-time job, I can help. If you feel you would like to be in control of your emotional responses, I can help. If you feel you don't know who to turn to explain what happened to you in a way that is relatable and understable, I can help. If you feel you don’t know who to turn to explain what happened, I can help."
-Carlina Leon

With all of this on your shoulders, I am sure you:

Are shamed by people around you who say, “You should put the past in the past and let it go.”
Feel you can't be who you are because society will shame, will think you are broken and even blame you.
Feel exhausted, drained fearful of disasters and maybe a failure.
Are beating yourself up because of your inability to “forgive and forget.”

Let me be your proverbial big sister.

I am all about results for your life and finding the most effective tools and strategies to help you thrive, and I am here to create a treatment protocol designed UNIQUELY for you. It’s time for you and the world to see the real you, not the you that you made up to feel and be safe.

Your voice deserves to be heard.

I love helping survivors because I get to witness firsthand the amazing capacity to recovery. I believe that the miracle of becoming who we want to be is possible.

I believe -truly believe- it doesn’t matter at all where you come from or better yet what you have been through.

It doesn’t mean the road will be same for everyone.

Some of you will have a more challenging and difficult path ahead of you, but we all have the capacity to improve our lives.

This is my commitment: I want to design a treatment protocol that is uniquely created for your needs and goals, with the RESULTS you always dreamed for yourself and your life.

I declare as my purpose at all times is to be a blessing and leave everything and everyone in better condition than I found it.

Three fun facts about me

There was a running joke with my friends and family that I was like Wendy from Bob the Builder because I love construction work.

I can find space where most people would say there is not. I enjoy when I see people surprised when they realize it is possible. Many things can be achieved when you have commitment, faith and a lot of creativity.

I am a HUGE nerd.

I know you have tried many different strategies to overcome these challenges, and it feels hopeless to try something else. However, in my experience, this is a journey that requires confronting one challenge at a time. I have supported many patients, and I know recovery from psychological trauma is possible.
